To measure effectivity in soccer, ORTEC TSS developed Effectivity in Action (EIA). The system is composed of multiple modules that can be linked to data introduced by our analysts during the games. During a soccer game, about 1200 to 1400 actions are made on the field. All these actions are introduced and judged on effectivity. After, a well-founded analysis of the game is made.
ORTEC TSS uses the different programs, EIA-Notation, EIA-Video Analysis, EIA-Calculator, EIA-Media Tools and EIA-Game analysis to analyze the players’ and the team’s strengths and weaknesses. This analysis is made based on the collected information. The results can be reproduced in several forms. The output is not only available for trainers, coaches and players, but also the media can dispose of the ORTEC-data immediately when they use EIA.
Effectivity in Action (EIA)
ORTEC TSS developed the ORTEC TSS Effectivity in Action (EIA) program for soccer. This system registers performances and links them to video images. The system measures the effectivity of the actions of the players, the line and the team. ORTEC TSS analyzes and interprets the data and makes detailed reports. These reports are available for trainers, players, coaches, administrators and the media and they are designed to increase the effectivity of the actions.
EIA-Notation
ORTEC TSS developed EIA-Notation software to save all characteristics and actions of a game. The ORTEC TSS-analysts register every action with the ball made by every player during the game. The actions are categorized by our analysts so the technical staff can easily study every part of the game. Thanks to the thorough registration, the most frequently occurring moments, such as switch moments, construction and even death moments in the game can easily be shown.
EIA-Video Analysis
The video analysis system is a product of ORTEC TSS. The system allows all data of the EIA-Notation system to be easily analyzed and presented. In only a few seconds images are available to watch and to process. Assumptions, location of the attacks, fouls, and passes can all be found and analyzed with the EIA-Video Analysis.
The software shows the patterns of the own team and of the opponent’s team. When necessary, tactics can still be adapted during the game. EIA-Video Analysis provides the visual information that the players and the staff need for a positive outcome of the game.
Graphics
Digital information becomes more and more important for sports performances on top level. The data are used by the technical staff to prepare the team for the game, but the experience of sports by fans and sponsors has reached a new era. ORTEC TSS analyzed all games of the World Cup 2010 live on the website of Telesport. A teamquote was calculated every minute based on the effectivity of all the actions of the players on the field.
